Transitional provisions
41(1)A separation agreement or a marriage contract validly made before January 1, 1981, shall be deemed to be a domestic contract for the purposes of this Act.
41(2)If a domestic contract is entered into in accordance with this Part before January 1, 1981, and the contract or any part would be valid if entered into after January 1, 1981, and the contract or part is entered into in contemplation of the commencement of this Part, the contract or part is not invalid for the reason only that it was entered into before January 1, 1981.
